Created out of community need and appeals from parents, Pusat Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Kajang Selangor (PKIK) started its services on 5th June 1995 through initiative and efforts of Rotary Club of Kajang. |

To-date the center has 34 children with 18 students enrolled in the Early Intervention Programme (EIP) and 16 students in the Day Training Programme (DTP). There are 2 teachers and 6 volunteers working with the students in the DTP and 1 teacher for EIP. The students are from Kajang and the surrounding areas of Semenyih, Bangi, Serdang, Cheras and as far as Kuala Lumpur. |

As a welfare-based centre, PKIK is totally dependent on donations and contributions from organisations, associations, societies, clubs, members of the public, parents and families. |

PKIK was initiated by the Rotary Club of Kajang in June, 1995. Since August 1997, PKIK is managed by "PERSATUAN KANAK-KANAK ISTIMEWA KAJANG SELANGOR" a society officially registered on May 6, 1998 through a committee of 11 members comprising of parents and the members of the community. A fulltime Administrator is responsible for the daily affairs and the running of PKIK. |
